Arlington House 4/5 colour linocut print
A hand carved, hand printed linocut of Arlington House, a 58-metre high eighteen-storey residential apartment block in Margate, Kent, England.
Printed on 100% cotton rag with deckled edges, one edition of ten prints using four colours of linseed ink and one edition of fifteen prints using five colours.
Each of these prints is hand made and there'll be some minor variation across the edition. This was cut from a single block of lino, printing the lightest colour first then cutting into the same block to print the next colour, and so on until the final darkest colour. This means that a cut can never be repeated and the small number of prints in each edition makes these works collectable.
